Linen Roon at Wild Orchard

I love all the rooms at Wild Orchard but the Linen Room is actually one of my favorites....the door redesigned by Jeff Balaschak is awesome, http://www.artisanofwood.com/.   The  hand painted pine cat furniture by Jeannine Guncheon and the folk art kitty are both extrordinarly wonderful pieces of folk art.  One of the most enjoybable parts of designing the layout of the guest house was how easily every piece of artwork just seem to know when it belonged...I don't have much folk art in the house but this room says it all!  Love it....

The Orchard Room at Wild Orchard is the only room not named after an inspirational American woman, reason being I have this fantastic wall art designed by one of New Hampshire's Furniture Masters, a friend of mine from Portsmouth, Jeffrey Cooper.www.cooperwoodsculptor.com  Jeff designed this wall art as a King sized bed but when I was designing the room a king sized bed was too overwhelming so I decided to use it as wall art instead...It works perfectly in the Orchard room, mainly because the wall art motif is of a moose in an orchard and the room actually overlooks the real orchard in the yard past the gardens and Labyrinth.....This room has been so popular with kids....I've hosted two different birthday parties for 11 year old girls, they've loved it.

Pre holiday greetings.....in my excitement of posting my Thankgiving retreat I neglected to list the price which is $200 per person, $100 single...I have reservations already and am thrilled to have the chance to show Wild Orchard at it's best....a lovely day and evening at the farm, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Wild Orchard...

Thanksgiving at Wild Orchard. Come spend the holiday enjoying the quiet countryside of Wild Orchard.  Visit mini horses Silver and Stormy and the resident peacocks, Pharoah, Admiral Bird and Isabella, NH's only pure white peacock is a treasure to see.  Stroll the Orchard and labyrinth and breath the fresh country air.

Enjoy wine and appetizers, then sit down to a sumptious homemade (no canned pie here!) traditional family style turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Later, sit by the crackling fire, or relax in the hot tub overlooking the pastoral countryside.

Open Doors at Wild Orchard Guest Farm

I am very excited to open the doors of Wild Orchard to New Hampshire folks during NH Open Doors event November 5 & 6...and will be running about making sure everyone is happy and also giving tours of the guest house to all who want the grand (Grant) tour! 

My friend Teresa Harris of teresaharrisdesigns will be showing her beautiful handcrafted jewelry, and we'll be playing the guitar music of
Ed Gerhard  with a selection of his cd's for purchase.  We're coming into our fourth year with Ed teaching master guitar workshops at Wild Orchard and very pleased to have his music here for this special weekend.  A new artist to the New Hampshire scene is Bryan Quinlan-Mystic Lifestyles..he will be showing his line of elegant tapestry pillows and throws...a wonderful weekend is planned and we all hope you'll stop by to say hello!
